Davos Marshall, other wise known as Tolkien, is a former Marine Admiral until he was demoted for being unable to catch Kashi D. Mokuzai. He was then later promoted to Fleet Admiral due to the retirement of Rakumei D. Yukizu and for catching and killing a number of New World pirates.

Tolkien is a firm believer in Absolute Justice, and is ruthless in his maintenance of it. He has a stern, dead-serious disposition, grim, expressionless, and was the most ruthless of all three admirals. Despite this disposition, Tolkien seems to be able to restrain himself at times. He is not above working with pirates if a bigger threat comes along.

Tolkien has the power of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Reaper.
His devil fruit is of the highest order, one of the legendary "invincible" devil fruits. As a reaper Tolken can quite literally kill anything, he has even been seen to "kill" the cannonballs and the ground when he first fought Kashi. "killing" an inanimate object results in the object being turned to dust. As of yet the only attack he has ever been struck with was Boshi's sound wave which did little damage.
It is unknown what other moves Tolken can use or how much power he actually has over his fruit as no one has ever managed to get through this first basic ability.

All marines ranked Vice Admiral and above have some sort of Haki, although Tolkien has yet to use it.

Davos is an incredible cook.
He possesses a flying motercyle for some reason, how it flies is a mystery but he does it.

After multiple failures to not only capture Kashi D. Mokuzai, but also Boshi Desun and Hyobachi D. Yukizu, Davos has been demoted to Vice Admiral. He was promoted to Fleet Admiral for killing a number of strong New World pirates.
Rainbow Mist Arc: Redux[]
During the second part of the Rainbow Mist arc, Davos and Kashi are stuck in an alternate world where magic is the main source of power. There, they both meet their counterparts, Davos and Kashi.
